Based on the key CrossFit principles of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, our CrossFit Kids program emphasises good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Throughout our terms we work from the philosophy that good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. There is also a large amount of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.
To achieve these awesome results in a fun and enjoyable way, a one session per week, for a 10 week term has proved extremely effective beneficial. In similar fashion to CrossFit itself, CrossFit Kids is well suited children and teens of all skill and ability levels as coaches are able to individually assist each child in creating challenging and exciting workouts that suit their ability level and in time, improve it.
